In the aftermath of the MC252 response, CGA embarked on the largest equipment acquisition in the history of the organization.  In the process, CGA grew to become one of the largest oil spill response cooperatives in North America.  We are proud to report that the seven year recapitalization effort is now complete.  As compared to 2010, CGA now has approximately 8 times the recovery capacity it once did and if CGA’s entire inventory was launched, it would encompass a fleet of up to 60 vessels to cover the offshore, nearshore and inshore environment. Among CGA’s key acquisitions over the years include:

  • Four 95′ Fast Response Vessels each with Aptomar Infrared X-Band Radar Camera and Gyrostabilization
  • Three 60′ Shallow Water Skimmers each with Bow Thruster
  • Hoss Barge retrofitted with Lamor Brush Skimmers
  • 22 Rigid Sweeping Koseq Arms – 12 Portable Pedestal Crane Systems
  • 180′ Boom Barge with 25,000′ Autoboom Prestaged
  • Four 56′ Shallow Water Skimmers with Spud Capability
  • Four Fully Rehabbed 46′ Fast Response Vessels
  • Nine Fully Rehabbed Fast Response Units with Expansion Capability
