On September 24th and 25th 2013, Preferred Response Organizations (PROs) training was conducted at the T&T/CGA facility on Pelican Island in Galveston, TX. Over the two-day period, a total of 141 people participated, not duplicating for several who participated both days. Hands-on equipment familiarization and deployment training was conducted on a 95′ Fast Response Vessel (GALVESTON ISLAND), a Fast Response Unit (FRU), a Trinity SWS, a Marco, an Egmopol, a T&T Koseq Arm, a T&T Aqua Guard Skimmer, and Clean Gulf safety equipment/procedures.

CGAS has created a network of oil spill response service providers to work hand-in-hand with CGAS employees during a response. The program requires each company to meet specific criteria as it relates to Safety and Training. If your company would like to become a CGAS “PRO” or if you would like a copy of the PRO’s Criteria, please contact Mark Mathews at Mathews@cleangulfassoc.com.
