WorkBoat senior editor Ken Hocke recently spoke with Frank Paskewich, the executive director of Clean Gulf Associates in Harvey, La., which took delivery of the 95’x21’x10’5′ aluminum rapid response vessel H.I. Rich on July 18. The boat was built by Midship Marine, also of Harvey. Midship is building two sisterships that will be delivered this fall. Paskewich answered questions about how the building of the vessel came about, how the new vessels will improve response and recovery of oil spills in the Gulf, and what the future holds for the oil spill recovery industry.
